2. Using an absorbent paper towel dunked in nail polish remover, dab the affected area. Use a blotting method rather than a rubbing method. You do not want to push the stain in further, or spread it.
3. Find a balance in the amount of nail polish removed you apply. Too much may soak through the carpet and too little may not remove the polish.
4. Once all the polish is removed, place more paper towels down on the stain to dry. You may need to neutralise the Nail polish and Nail polish remover with some water.
5. If this does not seem to be working, call a professional carpet service and ask about their prices for removing such a stain.
