How to remove a pet urine stain from a rug

1. Wipe with a sponge while the stain is damp and leave it to dry. Later wipe with a sponge damped with white vinegar.

2. If the stain remains, wipe again with a mixture of 3 parts of alcohol with 1 part of ammonia.

3. Blot the stain using a clean white 100% cotton dry towel and pressing down very hard from the outside towards the middle. Do this repeatedly, turning the folded towel over and over until you have absorbed as much moisture as possible.

4. When you blot the spot move the towel in straight lines, never rub in a circle as this can cause permanent damage to your rug.
