How to clean vomit from carpet

Cleaning vomit is not an enjoyable task, but one that has to be done! Vomit is bile in the form of decayed foods. It is generally acidic in nature and albuminous. A vomit stain can cause the loss of colour in the carpet and affect the dyes. The worst part about a vomit stain is the odour it produces and the longer you avoid cleaning it up, the worse the smell becomes.

To clean vomit from carpet:
1.       Sponge with warm water containing a little ammonia.
2.       If extensive, dampen and sprinkle with pepsin powder.
3.       Leave to soak for half an hour.
4.       Rinse off.

Dave’s Tip:

Be careful with pepsin powder, remove excess carrots as soon as possible.
